HungryPixel , an Italian developer, has entered on his last week on kickstarter with his exciting little pixel art game. The campaign has already achieved 80 percent of it’s goal and is pushing for its final funding, hoping to provide some of the content included in their stretch goals.
NetherWorld is a horizontal side-scrolling adventure/action pixel art game, where character development, dialogues and narrative have a special role. In the game you control a dark alcoholic mollusc who is living in a very dark world. His wife has recently left him , probably to end up with a creature with longer tentacles, and has now turned to drink and sin. You battle your way through dialogue, relationships, alcoholism and unique, cinematic bosses on a surreal journey that will take this octopodean character further than he ever wanted to go.
The Kickstarter campaign ends on Tuesday 20th of march, so there is not much time to secure your official certificate from the hallowed institution of The Netherworld Church. Also there are some more interesting rewards in this campaign including access to a discord server so you can keep up to date with all the development news first hand.
If HungryPixel passes his 5000 euro goal, there is scope for some more exciting stretch goals, including a Nintendo Switch port and the ability to customize your in-game house.
