Mortal Kombat 11 Towers of Time
The NetherRealm Studios team detailed some upcoming changes to Mortal Kombat 11 during a livestream, after hearing complaints about how difficult it is to complete the time-limited Towers of Time.
According to NetherRealm Studios’ Tyler Lansdown and Derek Kirtzic the health of certain AI opponents will be reduced so enemy health, which can often be 10x what your character has, will be lowered to be a lot more achievable. Also, the modifiers triggered in fights will occur less often so the players can get more of a chance to fight back. Also some unblockable modifiers that shoot in from the background, like missiles, will be blockable.
NetherRealm team is currently working on a patch which will help increase the rewards earned and make changes to modifiers that can not be introduced on the server side. For example, after the patch update, rockets that are unblockable will be changed to blockable. The team though stated that some difficult battles will remain hard, like Group Battles.
Some misconceptions about the Krypt have been discussed. NetherRealm will not sell anything that can affect the gameplay such as the ability to unlock chests in the krypt. Players get different locations in the Krypt with around 600 chests ( except Shao Kahn whose chests are special. ) However, the contents of the Krypt chests are determined by the player’s choice. In addition, an update will allow all players be getting a stimulus package containing 500,000 coins, 1000 souls, and 1000 time krystals, the latter of which is used to buy premium outfits.
Mortal Kombat 11 is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
