According to mod author Scott “Grimrukh” Mooney a major overhaul mod Daughters of Ash for PC has been added into Dark Souls remastered version providing to users a huge amount of new content.

Grimrukh claims that he spent a thousand hours to develop Daughter of Ash and that is a huge mod that adds tons of new content to Dark Souls.

The mod it’s constructed using existing models in Dark Souls – many of which are taken from cut content – and provides users with “new bosses and enemies, new characters, new storylines, new weapons and items, expanded lore, and plenty of new secrets. The mod provides twice as much content as the original game, and will take players more than one playthrough to explore, thanks to its complex storylines.

The Souls community appreciated so much this mod that over 45 thousand streamers including FightingCowboy, LobosJr, and Distortion2, downloaded on Nexusmod. Daughters Of Ash released in January for the Prepare To Die Edition and is now available for Dark Souls Remastered (on PC).

The mod remixed the entire game from top to bottom, messing with enemy placement, scripting changes, and more for a new experience for seasoned Dark Souls players. The mod, being a culmination of years and thousands of hours of work, only supported the original PC release of Dark Souls. ~Game Informer
